Explore 7 Bioethics review games designed by a teacher to engage students and reinforce curriculum. Give students a break from worksheets and bring Science review to life with a classroom game.
- In FRAZZLED, teams answer questions to uncover mystery points, but one wrong answer or unlucky bomb can completely change the game.
- SCOOT combines review with movement as students rotate between desks and work their way through a set of topic-specific task cards.
- BUMP combines fast-paced question review with a competitive challenge where students land shots and knock other teams off the platform.
- In TRASHKETBALL™, students compete to answer questions quickly and correctly to earn chances to shoot and score for their team.
- GRUDGEBALL turns review into a battle where correct answers earn cannon shots to sink opposing teams before they sink you.
- Turn review into an unpredictable whole-class competition with The BIG TERRIBLE Game, where every answer can send a team’s score in the right or wrong direction.
- The TERRIBLE Game rewards correct answers with positive or negative points that students can strategically assign to their own team or their opponents.
I’ve always found that students are much more willing to review when they feel like they’re playing instead of studying. Students get focused, talk through answers with their teammates, and suddenly everyone wants to be the one who gets the next question right. Play review games regularly and students start preparing for them, because just like sports, they know being ready gives them a better chance to win.
And it isn’t just something I’ve seen in my own classroom—research has found significant learning benefits from using educational games with students. See the research.
