Explore 7 Earth’s Structure review games designed by a teacher to engage students and reinforce curriculum. Give students a break from worksheets and bring Science review to life with a classroom game.
- Turn review into a team battle with BUMP, where correct answers earn shots and students can bump their opponents off the platform for extra points.
- GRUDGEBALL combines question review with a battle for survival as teams fire cannons, sink opposing ships, and fight to be the last one afloat.
- In The TERRIBLE Game, teams answer questions to reveal mystery scores, then decide who gets the points as everyone battles to finish closest to zero.
- SCOOT combines review with movement as students rotate between desks and work their way through a set of topic-specific task cards.
- TRASHKETBALL™ gets teams racing to answer correctly, then rewards them with shots at the trash can to score points.
- In The BIG TERRIBLE Game, every team answers every question and earns unpredictable positive or negative points while trying to finish closest to zero.
- FRAZZLED turns review into an unpredictable competition where teams win points, lose points, steal points, and try to avoid the dreaded bomb.
Turning review into a game is one of my favorite ways to get students participating without making practice feel like more work. Once the game starts, students start talking, thinking, and working together, with hands shooting up and everyone waiting to see what happens next. Over time, that excitement carries beyond the game itself, as students start preparing because they want their team to have a better chance of winning next time.
Don’t just take my word for it—research shows that game-based learning can improve student achievement, retention, and motivation. See the research.
