A good review game can completely change the energy in the classroom and get students excited to practice what they’ve learned. Students get focused, talk through answers with their teammates, and suddenly everyone wants to be the one who gets the next question right. Play review games regularly and students start preparing for them, because just like sports, they know being ready gives them a better chance to win.

The excitement is great, but the research is even better—educational games have been linked to stronger achievement, retention, and motivation. See the research.
