Explore 4 Identify Noun Gender - Cultural Practices review games designed by a teacher to engage students and reinforce curriculum. Give students a break from worksheets and bring Spanish review to life with a classroom game.

  • Turn review into an unpredictable whole-class competition with The BIG TERRIBLE Game, where every answer can send a team’s score in the right or wrong direction.
  • TRASHKETBALL™ mixes fast-paced question review with a classroom shooting competition where correct answers earn shots for points.

Turning review into a game is one of my favorite ways to get students participating without making practice feel like more work. The competition gets students paying attention to every question, communicating with their team, and getting genuinely excited when the answer is revealed. Once students know another game is coming, winning becomes a reason to pay attention, practice, and make sure they’re ready for the next one.

There’s research behind the fun too, with studies finding better academic performance and greater student engagement when games are brought into learning. See the research.
