I’ve always found that students are much more willing to review when they feel like they’re playing instead of studying. Students get focused, talk through answers with their teammates, and suddenly everyone wants to be the one who gets the next question right. When games become a regular part of review, students quickly learn that knowing the material gives them an advantage, and they start showing up ready to compete.

Don’t just take my word for it—research shows that game-based learning can improve student achievement, retention, and motivation. See the research.
