Explore 21 Pi Day Circle Geometry review games designed by a teacher to engage students and reinforce curriculum. Give students a break from worksheets and bring Math review to life with a classroom game.

• FRAZZLED turns review into an unpredictable competition where teams win points, lose points, steal points, and try to avoid the dreaded bomb.
• In BUMP, correct answers earn students shots at the platform, where they can score even more points by bumping off opposing teams.
• GRUDGEBALL turns review into a battle where correct answers earn cannon shots to sink opposing teams before they sink you.
• In The TERRIBLE Game, teams answer questions to reveal mystery scores, then decide who gets the points as everyone battles to finish closest to zero.
• With SCOOT, students move around the room answering task cards, turning curriculum review into an active classroom game.
• TRASHKETBALL™ gets teams racing to answer correctly, then rewards them with shots at the trash can to score points.
• The BIG TERRIBLE Game keeps the whole class involved as up to eight teams answer together and watch their scores swing above and below zero.

When it’s time to review, a little competition can go a long way toward getting students focused, participating, and having fun. Once the game starts, students start talking, thinking, and working together, with hands shooting up and everyone waiting to see what happens next. Just like a team practices before a big game, students who know another review game is coming have a reason to prepare, because this time they really want to win.

The excitement is great, but the research is even better—educational games have been linked to stronger achievement, retention, and motivation. See the research.
